Accent Wall

The homeowner wanted an accent wall in her formal living room, inspired by the HGTV’s Chicago Oasis home, she asked our artist to create a distinctive stencil for her home. We starting by looking at our inspiration room and simplified the stencil. The new design gave it a modern yet elegant look. We took the same color as the wall and used a semi-gloss finish for the first layer. After two coats of paint, each stencil received a hand painted shadow and gold highlight. (See close up image) This project, which started as a stencil, took on a life of its own and became chic hand painted mural.
